Western Law Experiential Learning Fund

Transform the student experience by expanding experiential learning opportunities. Your gift strengthens advocacy competitions, summer internships, research positions, and vital other learning opportunities, including the Summer After 1L Program (SA1L). SA1L enables all incoming students to participate in 10 weeks of meaningful, paid legal experience after the first year.


Violet King Award

Violet King became Canada’s first Black female lawyer in 1954. Created in consultation with the Black Law Students' Association, the Violet King Award is given annually to a full-time, first-year Black student with financial need.
