Western University Be Extraordinary The Campaign For Western

Build Tomorrow

Considered Canada’s most beautiful university, Western’s campus features century-old buildings mixed with modern, LEED-certified structures. Our physical setting provides the very foundation that enables our students and faculty to achieve their academic and professional goals. We are focused on key additions and improvements to our infrastructure to provide much needed space to learn and study.

Goals:

  • Build a new music building that is fitting for one of the most comprehensive music programs in Canada
  • Support the construction of a building for the Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing
  • Establish the world’s first wind dome to create a global centre that advances our understanding of the power of wind
  • Add spaces for specialized areas, including music rehearsal rooms, an obesity intervention laboratory and art curatorial study centre
  • Reconfigure our library and study spaces to support the collaborative way students learn today
  • Enhance ‘green’ features on campus, such as solar streetlights and small wind turbines
  • Upgrade athletic facilities to support the successful tradition of our varsity teams and student athletes
